Fundraising Activities

Our agency does not receive any state or federal funding. Most of our support is from local United Way agencies in the New River Valley. Every year we sponsor two major fundraising activities and we invite you to participate with us! (You can also donate directly to IDA of the NRV using Pay Pal--click on the button below.)

 

IDA Beer & Wine Fest

This year's beer and wine tasting and silent auction will take place on Thursday May 13th, 2010 at the Blacksburg Country Club. The chefs at the Club will provide a variety of delicious heavy hors d'oeuvres to accompany the different beers and wines that will be available for your sampling pleasure. Music will be provided by Kerri Taylor and Co. For additional information and to reserve your spot, contact Sheila at the IDA office or click here to reserve (and purchase) your tickets online.

Annual IDA Golf Tournament

Our annual Golf tournament has been scheduled for June 5th, 2010 and will again take place at Auburn Hills Golf Club. Contact Sheila for additional information, either via email or by calling the office at 381-0310. You can also register online! (CLICK HERE). We are currently recruiting golf teams, and welcome all support from the community (Tee sponsorships, prizes, refreshments, etc.) If you don't have a complete golf team, we will help put together teams.
