Fundraising Activities
IDA does not receive any state or federal funding. Local community businesses and individuals provide most of our financial support. Every year we sponsor several fundraising activities and we invite you to participate with us! (You can also donate directly to IDA of the NRV using PayPal--click on the button below.)
Local Day of Giving is June 28 - June 29 (Noon to Noon) 2023
(Donations are accepted any time in June)
Sponsored by the Community Foundation of the NRV, this is an opportunity to support IDA directly with your tax-exempt donations. Your support is critical for IDA activities that provide educational, social, and recreational participation for persons with intellectual disabilities in the NRV. Your dollars have a truly significant impact:
For example, $100 purchases music for one of our dances; $50 pays the rent for one hour of event time;
$40 pays for Bingo supplies and prizes for one day; $20 covers fees for 10 dance attendees.

26th Annual IDA Golf Classic -- August 14th, 2023 afternoon
IDA does not receive any national or state funding. All of our programs depend on community fundraising events, such as the IDA Golf Classic. Join us for a terrific day of golf and become one of our supporters!
Our 26th annual Golf Tournament is scheduled for August 14, 2023. This year we will golf at Blacksburg Country Club in the beautiful Ellett Valley, with tee-off after lunch. We are always recruiting golf teams, and welcome all support from the community (Tee sponsorships, prizes, refreshments, etc., are needed) If you don't have a complete golf team, we will help put together teams.
